Integration – weave language, culture, and our history into all aspects of life in Wiikwemkong: governance, education, health.

Accountability to our membership, engage and inform with band members.

How can we work together? We have a wealth of knowledge in our band members. Let’s  work with band members. Let’s create some time to sit down and visit, to voice concerns and share ideas. Let’s create a seat on our committees for off-reserve members.

If you are a band member who is attending post-secondary off-reserve, or maybe you are advancing your career elsewhere - but still very much care about what goes on in Wiikwemkoong, and the decisions that are being made – I hear you. I have been there too.

Let’s embrace technology and work together to ensure everyone who wants to be informed or part of the decision-making process, can be.

We need to continue the important work to close gaps and break down information silos. By working together, setting targets and milestones, and realistic strategies that lead to action plans and sustainable initiatives - Together we can!
